-Select variety of looping, animated assets that can be composited into frame freely

DYNAMIC BACKGROUNDS

-backgrounds move and distort at varying degrees of intensity throughout video
-focus on subjectivity + tone — selectively heighten emotional drama within frame
-play into analog aesthetic tropes (crt static, warping, color grading, aspect ratio)

PROOF OF CONCEPT

suggestions:
-take advantage of high black point / low exposure darks for keying
-consider 4:3 aspect ratio, appeal to reference material outlined in mood board
-film practicals separately, which can allow them to be used as creatively compositable assets
-2-3 representational, hand-painted backgrounds that establish environment / align with mood board
-2-3 nonrepresentational “puzzle piece” backdrops that can allow for different visual permutations
BUDGET
Production will cut costs and simplify crew by hiring me to cover all of post-production as this project’s
background painter, animator, compositer, and editor, leaving only the live action shoot for remaining expenses.
I have an MFA in Animation & Digital Art, thorough experience directing and editing film to music, and regularly produce using this workflow.
I can gladly take on this role for $15k, open to negotiation.
